YOU are Beautiful - Guided Imagery
You are. Whatever you may have come to believe, you are beautiful.
As infants we begin life without self consciousness, without an awareness of ourselves from the outside looking in, fully engaged in the process of experiencing the world from the inside looking out. As we grow, self consciousness develops and our focus shifts; we start stepping outside of ourselves and looking back, coming to regard ourselves as the painting on display rather than the artist behind the eyes translating the world around.
In that process we inherit the beliefs and opinions of others. Sometimes they're healthy, reinforcing beliefs, but often they're not and we adopt a belief that our worth is relative only to our image and that our image is not worth much at all. But we are not here to be paintings, to be viewed by others, we are here to look out, to see what there is to see through a view that is unique to each of us, to experience life in the way that only each one of us, as unique, non-replicable individuals, can.
You are one cell in an organism of many, but there will never be another that looks out at the world in quite the same way you do, that sees just exactly what you see. You cannot be compared, there is no other you, and that is your perfection. Your beauty is not what others see, your beauty is what you see, what you experience and how you translate it.
This guided imagery is a journey through your beautiful self to the beauty that is you, creating space to let go of unwanted, outdated beliefs about self image and make room for a new awareness that nurtures and nourishes self worth and confidence.
